Launch of the 'EU Focus' initiative

This week sees the launch of our EU Focus initiative that seeks to help Christians navigate the tricky (and sometimes heated) issue of EU membership.

With resources for churches and individuals, as well as articles from Christians on both sides of the argument, EU Focus is a great tool to help equip people to engage positively with the debate.

Visit the EU Focus page here.

Sarah Dickson, Director of the Liberal Democrat Christian Forum, commented that “The EU Focus initiative comes at a time when everyone is being bombarded by lots of different views on whether the UK should stay in the EU or leave. It offers a neutral space for Christians to learn and reflect on the kind of country we want to be, as well to consider how our own faith may inspire our decision in June.”

The EU Focus webpage will be regularly updated over the coming months and as the debate develops, with additional articles, videos and more.

In addition to the EU Focus webpage, Christians in Politics is also organising a series of ‘conversations’ in cathedrals throughout the country. These conversations organised in partnership with Theos and the Reimagining Europe blog will mean the church is a key platform for differing opinions to be heard and developed. The range of conversationalists will include MPs and Peers, in addition to political commentators and religious thinkers.

Visit the events section of the EU Focus page to keep up with which cathedrals will be hosting one of these conversations.

For those considering themselves “EU perplexed”, we hope you will find this initiative a useful resource. If you have any comments or input we'd love to hear from you. Contact us at info@christiansinpolitics.org.uk and we'll aim to take on board your views.
